Can I Wear White Sandals After Labour Day?
It is technically still summer until Friday roles around. And while we stay hard and true to the fashion laws of Labour Day, what about when it is truly still hot outside and fall clothing just doesn't cut it? Is it safe to dredge out the summer clothing? Yes and no.
Stay away from:
Eyelet fabrics, seersucker fabrics - those that truly connote summer
White pants - you can don a lighter fabric and colour but don't take the white pants out
Neons and pastel colours - period
Parkas and leather jackets - it's really not that cold
You may wear:
Strappy sandals - unless it is 30 degrees celcius, opt for peep toe or a breathable ballet flat but never white
Tank tops - as long as you leave the house with some sort of cover up as it is cool in the morning and cool in the evenings
Barely there dresses - not appropriate anytime
