Happening Now: For The Bees

For the past few years we have been hearing about Colony Collapse Disorder regarding the
disappearance of the honeybees. Some have pointed the finger at pesticides,
while others radio frequency, disease or loss of habitat but
regardless of the cause, which some say has been found ( pesticides ),
beekeepers have reported losing up to 90% of their colonies.

The effect of CCD is local and global. Bees pollinate about 1/3 of the the food that we consume.

You can help by planting nectar rich plants, installing houses for native bees, reducing pesticides ( if they are not already banned in your city ), substituting flower beds for lawns.

Another way to help is with Burt's Bees + Jenny Bird For The Bees bracelet.
A partnership between natural skin care
Burt's Bees and Jenny Bird a Canadian accessories designer.
100% of the proceeds go to the Pollinator Partnership Canada
