40 YEARS OF HERBAL ESSENCES

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Herbal Essences brand. Do you remember the iconic green bottle? It's been a long time but the bottle brought back memories of when we were young. The brand is still all about the experience, the natural essences and the luxurious hair results. Today, the Herbal Essences' range is complete with shampoos, conditioners to styling products.
For the 40th anniversary Charles Baker Strahan, Herbal Essences Celebrity Stylist was in Toronto to showcase 40 years of iconic hair styles that have put some actresses on the map.
"In the 2000-12, there was no clear hair trend, as the iconic styles of the 70's, 80's and 90's. Women now style their hair based on what they are wearing." - Charles.
The 70's, Charles goes on to say. was defined by a lovely blonde angel. Her iconic hair style shaped the entire decade. To recreate this angelic look Charles used Herbal Essences Touchably Smooth Smoothing Mousse - it provides volume without the crunch of the old mousses. ( and it you haven't guessed the iconic hair style it is that of Farrah Fawcett ).
The 80's got us "Into the Groove" with tiny, tight curls. To recreate that look on straight hair Charles used a zulu knot, twist the hair like a fiddlehead against the scalp. Once the hair is completely dry, take the smallest curling iron and finish the look. To set the look use the Herbal Essences Set Me Up Texturizing Wax, even on fine hair. To use the wax simply warm some of the wax in your hands and then clap over your hair, the fibers will fall and adhere onto the hair. ( if you guessed Madonna pat yourself on the back ).
The 90's was all about a girl who had friends and live in NYC. To get her look use a large boar bristle brush to create volume and a natural wave to the hair. The last decade was all about a girl that lived in the city. To recreate her sexy curls, diffuse the hair with Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Define & Hold Creme.
