Can I wear a tank top to the work?
In most work places, wearing just a tank top will raise some eyebrows, and is considered inappropriate attire. However, every work place differs when it comes to their dress code policies.
Although, often as the temperature rises the clothing minimizes; these days it seems that most offices have A/C systems that make it feel sub-zero inside in the summer and heat so strong that it feels tropical in winter. However, despite the temperature there are Do’s and Don’ts when it comes to tanks in the work.
DON"T
Ever wear a spaghetti strap, no matter how lax the policies may be, visible bra straps (or lack thereof all together) are just plain inappropriate!
Ever take off your cardigan or jacket if you are only wearing a tank underneath, tanks are never appropriate alone in the office. You never know who might walk in.

DO:
Wear a tank under a light cardigan or blazer. If it is very warm in your office; opt for breathable fabrics like cotton and linen.
Go for light, flowy tops (that fully cover). They are in style and are lighter to allow for more air flow.
Opt for other tops instead of tanks that cover. Options like a cap sleeve ( covers only the shoulder and does not go past the armpit ), a butterfly sleeve ( start at the shoulder and gets wider but not not go past the elbow ), a 1/4 ( goes to the elbow ) or 3/4 sleeve ( end between the wrist and elbow ).
Always check with your office on the dress code before donning any questionable clothing, but for the most part tank tops are like flip flops, you just don’t wear them at the office.
