How can I wear makeup with my allergies?

We hear you, if you are a fellow allergy suffer, like us, Spring allergies pose unpleasant challenges as how to keep makeup on your face when you’re constantly sneezing and battling watery eyes. Below are our tips to fight the “look” of allergies.

Do:
Page TitleWear waterproof mascara. For those with watery eyes this is a given.

Page TitleUse blue eye liner.  Use it on the bottom inner and as a tight liner along with a blue mascara. This will help make the whites of the eyes look whiter when allergies can sometimes cause them to have a yellow hue.

Page TitleStay hydrated. Allergy medication, specifically anti-histamines, can dry out your skin making your makeup look cake-y and flaky on your face.  Plenty of water will battle the dryness and of course always moisturize you skin will look fresher and more supple.

Wearing Makeup and Allergies

Page TitleUse a Primer. A primer with a green base will help reduce redness.  Use it only on the areas where you have redness, mainly the nose for allergy sufferers.

Page TitleCarry your makeup with you.  After a day of sneezing and wiping your makeup may have come off with the help of tissues. In this season always carry your makeup with you to ensure you don't have the dreaded red nose at dinner or drinks.

We don't need to dread allergies, we just need to work with them.
