DARE TO WEAR LOVE CHARITY GALA
March 16, 2012
TORONTO - 2012. If you are going to close Toronto fashion week then you should do it with much fanfare. Dare to Wear Love, the event that the partners of Hoax Couture dreamed up, got people on their feet for a show that rocked the tents of the last night of fashion week.
Dare to Wear Love collaborates with fashion designers from Canada to raise funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Each designer is given 6 yards of African cloth, to create a design that inspires and of course showcases their talent.
Highlights from the evening's show included Trish Stratus hoisting a full grown man over her shoulder and walking down the aisle, Bob Marley's granddaughter Donisha Prendergrast and Lena Love.
To support the Stephen Lewis Foundation and all they do to battle HIV and Aids in Africa through their grassroots initiatives visit stephenlewisfoundation.org
If you would like to see the pieces they are showing at the textilemuseum.ca until May 6, 2012.
