I put my eye shadow on each morning and by 3pm it's dull or gone, what can I do?
Don't sweat it, there is a quick and easy solution to this problem.
First, take your eye shadow brush and sweep it over a baked shadow or dip it in a loose powder (if using loose powder tap the brush to remove excess powder before applying to your eye) then dampen the brush with water, dab the brush on a tissue to absorb any excess water. From then on it's just like painting! The water will help thicken the powder, help it stay on your lid longer and most importantly intensify the colours.
It is important not to soak the actual eye shadow in the container as it will ruin it, if you are unsure, just scrape a little of the shadow onto a tissue and go from there. Also, hold the brush downward, if too much water drips into the shaft of the brush it can cause the brush hair to loosen and fall out.
Try this using an angled eye shadow brush to create an edgy eyeliner look. This trick allows you to play with all sorts of colours creating different looks so have fun and get creative!
