SKIN CARE ROUTINE: DRY SKIN


Dry skin has some flaking and tightness to the feel of the skin. More severe cases can include: severe itching and red or white patches of skin. Dry skin can be caused by oil glands not secreting enough lubrication, diet and your environment. Follow this skin care routine for dry skin and see healthier, supple skin.


Step 1 - Cleanse

Use a milk or lotion cleanser, morning and night. Cleansing is important as it removes dirt and stimuli that may cause irritation.


Step 2 - Treatment

Step 3 - Moisturize

Use a medium to heavy formulation in a cream form. Moisturize throughout the day to reapply the barrier for protection of the skin and to prevent moisture loss.

TIP: Moisturizers, for dry skin acts as a barriers, so it is most important that this is placed on the skin after your treatment as may prevent absorption of your treatment if put on first.


 
Step 4 - Sunscreen

Use a minimum SPF 15 or greater with a broad spectrum UVA/UVB formulation.


 
Weekly Routine

Exfoliate: once a week use a gentle exfoliator. Look for round or synthetic beads so not to scratch the skin.
Deep Moisturizing: once or twice a week use a deep moisturizing mask
