With much anticipation the Pink Tartan Spring Summer collection is headed down the runway October 22, 2012 at David Pecaut Square as part of Toronto's World MasterCard Fashion Week.
Silver, gold, white and a pale seafoam green ruled the Pink Tartan runway. We loved the silver embroidered fabrics and embossed reptile skin on skirts and dresses. 60's was the era of choice for this collection. Think capri pants, full skirts, slim high waisted shorts and trapeze dresses.
Three trends that Pink Tartan captured on for spring, the high-low hemline ( high hemline in the front and lower hemline in the back made popular in the Victorian era ); full skirts ( you may even see crinoline ) and white.
Another pink beauty shared the runway with Pink Tartan, Charlotte Free. Most will know this pink haired beauty from Maybelline New York's ads - she is the international spokesmodel for Maybelline. Maybelline New York is the official makeup sponsor of Toronto's World MasterCard Fashion Week.
